We love art that makes a statement. As contemporary art consultants, we work with visionary companies and individuals who value and embrace creativity. Whether you’re looking to buy a one-off piece, begin a collection, commission an artist or simply rent art from our own collection of over 300 works, we can help.

At our base in the old Station Master’s House, we have our bespoke framing studio and an art gallery. We hold 3-4 exhibitions each year and always have a selection of art on display. We also have art available to buy at Tewinbury Farm throughout the restaurants and hotel. A selection of art for sale is shown in our shop.

Meet the Team

Kate has worked in the art world for over 20 years. As a passionate art collector, she has an extensive contact list of artists and galleries both in the UK and abroad. She believes that art should do more than just decorate your walls, it should be something you connect with that enhances your life.

Matt has worked in the art industry since the age of 16, when he trained as an apprentice framer in his family business. He went on to grow the business to become a leading authority in the field of artwork presentation and protection, pioneering museum standard framing in the UK. Matt is an expert frame designer, taking into account not just the aesthetic of a frame, but also the role it plays in protecting and preserving the artwork.

We formerly ran family arts business John Jones Ltd, in Finsbury Park, London. The business was an industry leader for fine art museum-standard framing, working with a range of clients including museums, galleries, artists, interior designers and corporate and private collectors. John Jones closed in 2019 when the family decided to take time out. Matt and Kate established Common Room Projects Ltd as an arts consultancy and in 2024 launched a bespoke framing studio.
