Ruby Sear is a self-taught artist and actress from Southend-On-Sea, Essex. She is currently living and working in London.
A contemporary genre and figurative painter, Sear’s work depicts the eccentric characters and urban localities she encountered whilst living and working in LA. Inspired by American Realism, Sear’s paintings suggest a narrative around the subtle interactions of humans with their environment and reflect the enjoyment she takes from capturing everyday fly-on-the-wall moments.
