We have unparalleled access to modern and contemporary art across a range of media including print, work on canvas, work on paper, photography and sculpture.
After two decades working as professionals at the heart of the London art world, we moved out of the city to establish our Hertfordshire art consultancy.
Matt and Kate Jones are art collectors with over 40 years’ combined professional experience in the art world. We’re experts at finding art – whether you’re looking to buy a one-off piece, begin a collection or simply rent art from our own collection of over 300 works, we can help. We love art that makes a statement. As contemporary art consultants, we work with visionary companies and individuals who value and embrace creativity.
Our breadth and depth of contacts include emerging and established artists, commercial galleries and dealers and other private collections.
Helping businesses and individuals to own or rent great art is just one aspect of what we do. How that piece of art is then displayed and lit shouldn’t be underestimated. We design display walls which create impact and the wow factor. Whether it’s a solo piece of sculpture dramatically lit, or a salon style wall of 30 works, we know how to make a visual statement.
From a single artwork to a full collection strategy, we’re passionate about helping bring art into homes and work spaces. Having worked in the international art world for over four decades, we know how to source art for a range of tastes and, crucially, budgets. Whether you’re looking for an art consultant to help you find a limited edition print or to commission a large scale painting, we can help. What’s more, we’re entirely independent and unaffiliated to any galleries or artists.
Private Art Consultancy
Choosing art for your home is a highly personal experience. We believe in making art accessible and enjoyable for all. We’ll help get you started and introduce you to the various approaches and ways to buy art.
The process should be an inspiring one and will start with a site visit to talk about your tastes and interests. We’ll discuss the practical elements of owning or renting art and your budgetary requirements.
From there we’ll put together a detailed and agreed brief which we’ll either take away and use to source the perfect piece of art for you or alternatively, plan an interesting and entertaining schedule where we accompany you to galleries, art fairs and artist studios.
We also regularly work with interior designers and architects so if you’re building or renovating, the sooner you start discussions around art, the better.
Corporate Art Consultancy
Art in the work space inspires employees, teams and clients and helps create a statement which represents and exudes your corporate identity. We are able to provide art for single offices or entire buildings. Following an initial meeting and get to know each other session, we’ll understand your brief and identity, outline your requirements and propose a solution.
And should you wish to rent instead of purchasing, we can select pieces from our own art collection on a minimum term of 12 months. Prices start from £20 per month for a small work.
DISPLAY AND INSTALLATION CONSULTANCY
We have over four decades’ worth of professional experience in artwork and collection care. We have worked for some of the world’s leading collectors, galleries and museums advising on conservation, framing, installation and lighting. We only work with the very best and have a network of experts who we call upon for different disciplines.
CREATIVE CONSULTANCY FOR AWARDS, TALKS AND ART PROJECTS
We are creative thinkers with a wealth of commercial experience.
Our former business incorporated a full arts programme encompassing an international art award, project space, talks, studio visits and an artist residency.
We have been invited to sit on numerous Art Award selection panels and given talks on collecting and collection care at Masterpiece, London Art Fair, House & Garden Fair, Browns Art Weekend and Sarabande Foundation.
Over on Kate’s art blog you’ll find posts about buying and collecting art.
Kate also writes an interview series called 4×4. In each episode, 4 women are asked 4 questions about their favourite piece of art at home and which art they’d choose to live with if money were no object. This is an intriguing insight into the personal connections which are made through art and fascinating to see which pieces the different interviewees choose.
